Mr. Happy Bird was created to spread joy, color, and connection—because happiness should always take flight.

Our Story 💜

The inspiration comes from Rita, our founder’s late mother. In her younger years she painted, stitched, built dollhouses, and refinished antiques. She later became an established glass artist, creating jewelry, fountains, and wind chimes.

After nearly 50 years of glasswork, Alzheimer’s made it difficult to continue. Yet Rita’s creative spirit never faded. Even as abilities slipped away, she could be seen tracing images, arranging buttons, and measuring walls—still creating, still changing the world in a way only she could.

It was during this time that she picked up her paintbrush again and brought Mr. Happy Bird to life: a whimsical bird that became a symbol of resilience, joy, and love.
