✨ Our Story

Rita’s creativity knew no bounds. In her younger years, she painted, stitched needlepoints, refinished antiques, and built detailed dollhouses. She became an established glass artist, creating dazzling jewelry, fountains, wind chimes, and other intricate pieces that reflected her imagination and craftsmanship.

After nearly 50 years of art, love and life, Rita faced the challenges of Alzheimer’s and could no longer create in glass. Yet her creative spirit never dimmed. She picked up her paintbrushes again — and this time, something magical happened.

Rita painted Mr. Happy Bird, a whimsical, joyful character who quickly became the heart of her new collection of inspiring artwork. To carry her vision forward, we digitized that original painting and transformed it into the Mr. Happy Bird logo you see today.

From Rita’s paintbrush to today’s products, Mr. Happy Bird LLC was born. Every design you find in our shop traces back to her legacy of resilience, creativity, and joy.
